This week, our Panther community has experienced two heartbreaking losses — a current senior and a former student, both tragically taken in car accidents.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families, friends, classmates, and staff who are impacted by these tragedies.

We have spent time considering whether or not to hold school. After much thought, we believe it is important for our students and staff to be together, supporting one another as a community. While tomorrow will look different, the day will be less academic than normal, with a focus on connection, compassion, and caring for one another.

Counselors will be available at LCHS to provide support, and we encourage students to lean on one another during this difficult time.

Together, we will walk through this as a family.
